The place is extremely close to the couple’s heart and has always been and looking through these images I can see why. They rented the Valldemossa Hotel for a whole weekend. Where close family and friends celebrated their marriage which seems like just the most perfect idea. The church wedding took place in Valldemossa Village.
Make sure to take a peep at the video which starts with breathtaking scenes of Mallorca, an iconic introduction to this beautiful destination wedding film.
Destination Wedding Film Valldemossa
The Bride: The decision for us to get married in destination wedding film Mallorca was an easy one. Spain and its culture have always had a special place in my heart and I lived in Granada, Spain. For a year whilst studying Spanish at University.
Describe by Frederic Chopin as the most beautiful place on earth. Valldemossa is a small village nestled into the Tramuntana mountains. Also the birthplace of Catalina Tomas, the patron saint of Mallorca. Whose symbol still adorns the doorways to many residents’ homes to protect them from harm. We instantly fell in love with its cobbled streets and rustic charm and when we found the 13th century Church.
Colour Scheme, Venue, Décor and Styling
I knew in terms of colours I wanted a fairly neutral palette with a combination of muted shades ranging from creams and taupes to blush pink and with hints of silver. When I found my dress, I decided to bring out more of the blush pink in the décor. Styling which also worked perfectly with the faded pink stone of the hotel’s magnificent staircase and balustrades.
Lace also feature heavily in the décor of the day. Running up to the wedding I had found some beautiful lace fans in a shop in Valldemossa. These ended up being the inspiration for our wedding logo which was featured on all of our stationery. From the save the dates through to the invitations, menus and order of service
Our reception venue was a small hotel
There were only 16 rooms and we took over the hotel exclusively for 3 days so that it really could feel like home for our family and friends. Hidden terraces and hideaways and we wanted to make the most of every space. Drinks reception in a lower terrace which was cover by a large gazebo which meant we could hang the table plan from the centre. It also meant we could hang flowers from the structure which we did over a large table with photos of Neil and I and our parents and family.
We fell in love with one of the terraces at the hotel
I totally mis-shapen and had beautiful stone balustrades which had an almost pink hue, and olive trees were growing from the terrace. We hung chandeliers from the olive trees and fairy lights and festoon lights above the terrace. Neil and I sat which we had had made by the florist and which had been hung on the church doors prior to the ceremony. The chairs were all covered in tulle and decorated with olive and eucalyptus branches and I had made cushions embroidered with ‘la novia’ and ‘el novio’ (which means the bride and groom in Spanish) to hang on mine and Neil’s chairs.
Our wedding planner helped us to choose the perfect photographer destination wedding film. We loved Natan’s style from the photos on his website. He seemed to combine an artistic flair that wasn’t there in many of the other photographers with an incredible ability to capture the raw emotion of the day. His photos surpassed all of our expectations.
I found HD Moments by spending hours trawling the internet watching countless trailers on tons of different websites. Greg’s films that exude artistic flair but still kept all the emotion of the day. Myself welling up at the destination wedding film on his blog of other people’s weddings who I didn’t even know, I knew I had found the right man for the job! His video from our day has blown us away.”
