This was our ultimate test- shooting an Indian wedding that blended both traditional and modern customs. Priya and Sathusen, an Indian couple, got married in Syon House as per western traditions. However, in the morning they had an elaborate Indian wedding that involved a lot of traditional customs. As their London wedding videographer, we were elated to be a part of the holy event.
Indian wedding of Priya and Sathushen – an extravaganza hard to forget
Shooting Indian weddings are always fun and the marriage of Priya and Sathushen was no exception. An extravagant affair that involved colorful costumes, heavy jewelry, a lot of music, dance and meaningful rituals, it is hard to describe it in a few words. Just check out the Syon House wedding film below and you would understand what I mean.
Priya looked resplendent in the traditional attire. She is a quintessential Asian girl with gorgeous hair, olive complexion, slender body, and big eyes. She has one of the most charming smiles I have ever seen. With the heavily embroidered dress, chunky jewelry and makeup, she looked like a queen during the traditional wedding.
There was an air of jubilance at the Syon House wedding. However, we didn’t miss the tear that Priya’s mother quickly wiped off. It’s moments like these that make an event like marriages so memorable.

We mixed up the clips of the traditional wedding and the western one to create this wedding video. We have given it a feel of a film with the opening clip showing the majestic Syon House. As the light streamed in through the skylight, you could see the well-decorated tables with candles and flowers and of course, Priya in her white gown.
The couple along with their friends and relatives had a blast at Syon House. Priya and Sathushen lighted the candles and cut the cake. Priya looked elegant in her white gown. Sathushen is a nice guy. He doesn’t talk much but is always there for Priya. They danced to romantic numbers, much to the pleasure of the audience.
The day saw the couple attend the traditional wedding in a temple. A huge procession took the groom to the wedding venue along with traditional musical instruments and a lot of uproars.
As per Hindu tradition, the marriage rituals were performed in front of the fire. We captured them in our lenses and learned about their significance also.
As if often the case when we film Indian wedding films, the night came alive with dance performances. Peppy and fun, everybody enjoyed them.
