Chelcie and Arjun flew in from Los Angeles with a very clear vision — a wedding that honoured Arjun’s Hindu heritage and Chelcie’s contemporary elegance, set against the extraordinary backdrop of the Scottish Highlands. They chose Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire — one of the most iconic five-star venues in the world — and created a two-day celebration of genuine scale, beauty, and emotional depth. As specialist Hindu and Indian wedding videographers, this was one of the most extraordinary events we have ever had the privilege of filming.

Gleneagles Hotel — The Setting

Gleneagles Hotel sits in the heart of Perthshire — a legendary five-star estate of 850 acres, opened in 1924, and one of the most celebrated hotels in the world. Its combination of grand Edwardian architecture, championship golf courses, rolling Highland countryside, and impeccable five-star service makes it one of the very few venues in the UK that can accommodate a large-scale Indian wedding celebration with the space, the flexibility, and the quality of service it demands.

For Chelcie and Arjun — flying in from Los Angeles with a guest list that had travelled from around the world — Gleneagles was the perfect choice. The scale of the estate meant that the Hindu ceremonies and the contemporary wedding could each have their own dedicated spaces and atmospheres. The quality of the service meant that every logistical element of a complex two-day multicultural celebration was handled with complete competence and warmth. And the landscape — the rolling Perthshire hills, the ancient woodland, the open skies of the Highlands — gave the footage a quality that no London or Home Counties venue could match.

Day One — The Hindu Ceremony

The first day was dedicated entirely to the Hindu wedding — a vibrant, deeply emotional celebration that paid full homage to Arjun’s cultural roots and the sacred traditions of the ceremony. The mandap was set outdoors — beautifully adorned with extraordinary floral installations by Wild Flowers Edinburgh, set against the lush greenery of the Gleneagles grounds, with the Highland landscape stretching away in every direction.

Chelcie wore a traditional lehenga of extraordinary richness and beauty — richly embroidered, paired with intricate gold jewellery, and entirely suited to the scale and colour of the ceremony. Arjun wore a traditional sherwani — together they looked magnificent, and the footage of them taking part in the sacred rituals of the ceremony — the Saat Phere, the Sindoor ceremony, the exchange of garlands — is some of the most visually extraordinary we have produced at any Indian wedding.

The music and dancing across the first day were a complete celebration of life — classical Indian melodies giving way to spontaneous dhol beats and group dancing that drew in guests of every age and every background. Many of the guests had travelled extraordinary distances to be there — from the US, from India, from across Europe — and the shared joy of that gathering, in that setting, with those traditions, produced footage of an emotional richness that we return to with real affection.

Day Two — Contemporary Celebration

The second day moved into a different register entirely — Chelcie in a sleek white gown of contemporary elegance, Arjun in a beautifully tailored suit, and a ceremony of soft lighting and personal vows that stood in complete visual contrast to the colour and ceremony of the day before. Together the two days told a complete story — the depth of tradition and the lightness of contemporary love, held together by the extraordinary setting of Gleneagles and the genuine warmth of two people who were completely themselves across both days of their celebration.

The reception on the second evening was spectacular — marquee tents by Arc Marquees dressed with fairy lights against the Perthshire evening sky, dancing that went on until the Highland night had fully settled in, and a quality of shared joy that comes only from a guest list of people who have spent two full days celebrating together in a beautiful place. Planning and coordination by Lindsay Landman Events was exceptional across both days — the complexity of a large-scale two-day multicultural celebration managed with complete elegance and warmth.
