Filming a wedding at The Ned London had always been on our wish list — so when the call came from Giorgie and Lewis’s planner, the excitement was immediate and completely genuine. As London wedding videographers, filming close to home at one of the city’s most extraordinary venues felt like a real privilege. The Ned — the former Midland Bank building on Poultry in the City of London, designed by Edwin Lutyens and now one of the most dramatic and beautiful event spaces in the capital — provided the perfect canvas for their love story.

The Ned — The Setting
The Ned is one of London’s most extraordinary and architecturally significant wedding venues — a former Midland Bank building on Poultry in the City of London, designed by Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1924, with a banking hall of genuinely incomparable grandeur and dramatic architectural character. Its combination of historic grandeur, extraordinary interior spaces, and the particular quality of the directional light that moves through the banking hall gives footage made here a richness and atmospheric depth that is entirely distinctive and unlike any other London venue we film at.

A Family Already in Bloom
Filming a wedding where the couple already has a growing family adds a unique and genuinely extraordinary depth to the story. Giorgie and Lewis have two beautiful children — and their involvement in the day gave every moment a quality of warmth and genuine family connection that was unmistakable in every frame. Every glance, every laugh, every quiet touch between family members felt completely meaningful and entirely real. Years into their relationship, Giorgie and Lewis approached their wedding day with the confidence and grace that comes from real-life experience and deep, settled love — and it showed completely in the footage.
“Giorgie and Lewis’s celebration had a particularly soulful energy — from the heartfelt speeches to the tender vows, the day flowed with a quality of genuine, settled love that is very hard to manufacture and entirely impossible to fake on film. We feel so fortunate to have documented this milestone in their journey.”

The Light — Indoor Filming at Its Best
While we love filming sun-drenched outdoor celebrations, there is something genuinely extraordinary about an indoor wedding at a venue with The Ned’s particular quality of architecture and directional light. The dramatic banking hall, the moody and beautifully controlled lighting, and the rich elegant décor presented a filming environment of real visual depth and warmth. Capturing emotion through the soft, directional light of The Ned gave the footage a richness and almost painterly texture that we return to with genuine admiration — those quiet beams of light, the subtle shadows, the extraordinary quality of the space itself. It is this combination that makes The Ned so distinctive and so rewarding to film at.
The Style — Suzanne Neville & Larry Walshe
Giorgie’s gown by Suzanne Neville was breathtaking — the way it moved with the light, the delicate veil catching every shimmer, giving the footage a quality of genuine bridal elegance and almost ethereal beauty. Her walk through the City streets with Lewis at her side — as passersby stopped and cheered — was one of those genuinely unscripted, entirely joyful moments that gives a London wedding film its particular sense of place and life.
The reception styling by Larry Walshe — whose floral and production work is simply extraordinary — was a beautiful and entirely considered mix of soft tones, rich florals, and luxurious textures. An effortless blend of modern romance and classic sophistication, completely aligned with the character of The Ned and the vision of Giorgie and Lewis. The planning by Kristina Kempton ensured that every element of the day flowed with complete precision and warmth.
