On November 30, 2019, James and Christy celebrated their love at Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire, England. It was a beautiful frosty day with a bright sun—the perfect backdrop to their intimate winter wedding.  As wedding videographers, one of our favourite moments to capture is when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. This wedding ceremony was extra heartwarming to witness.

“I never felt anything like that in my life.”

When James saw his bride walking down the aisle, he eyes immediately filled with tears of joy, completely overwhelmed by his love for Christy and the lovely bride before him. Christy was absolutely stunning in her form-fitting gown. As she walked down the aisle, she was glowing and all smiles—ready for the start of the rest of their lives together.  During his vows, James made everyone laugh with his story from their early dating life:

“I made the bold statement that we would get married. You laughed…but surprisingly didn’t run away. So, from now on, I told you so.”

Cranberry Blue Weddings did an exceptional job bringing all the details of the day together, creating a wedding design with a contemporary, winter feel. Wild About Flower brought meadow-style flowers and greenery. The floral arrangements—against ice chairs and fur throws— made an impactful statement while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. At the reception, a saxophone trio added even more warmth to the celebration. There weren’t many dry eyes during the emotional speeches, and guests loved their send off with sparklers. It was the ideal winter wedding in the English countryside.
