There are venues that impress from a distance — and then there are venues like Blenheim Palace, which take your breath away the moment you step through the gate and simply do not give it back. Victoria and Thomas chose one of the most extraordinary wedding settings in the world for their celebration — an 18th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site set in the heart of Oxfordshire, with a sense of history and grandeur that no other venue in the UK can quite replicate. As experienced London wedding videographers, filming here is an experience unlike any other — and this wedding was one of the most spectacular we have ever had the privilege of capturing.

Blenheim Palace — The Setting
Blenheim Palace sits at the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside — an 18th-century baroque masterpiece designed by John Vanbrugh, built between 1705 and 1722, and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough, and one of the most historically significant private palaces in England. It is also, for the right couple, one of the most extraordinary places in the world to get married.

The scale of Blenheim is something that no photograph entirely prepares you for. The Great Court, the baroque façade, the 187-metre Long Library — these are not rooms in the conventional sense but spaces of genuine architectural drama that transform every wedding they host into something that feels genuinely historic. For Victoria and Thomas, the palace was not simply a backdrop but a participant in their celebration — its grandeur and its history present in every frame.
The Ceremony — A Mirror-Lined Aisle
Victoria walked down an aisle lined with mirrors — a styling decision that created one of the most visually extraordinary ceremony sequences we have ever filmed. The reflections multiplied the grandeur of the space around her, her gown catching the light from every angle, the architecture of Blenheim rising above and around the whole scene in a way that felt genuinely overwhelming in the best possible sense.
The ceremony was deeply personal and genuinely moving — words spoken with complete sincerity in a setting of breathtaking historical beauty. The combination of Victoria’s extraordinary gowns, the palace interior, and the emotional intimacy of the vows themselves created footage of a richness and depth that we return to with real affection.
The Details — Gowns, Florals & Styling
Victoria wore multiple gowns across the day — from Kleinfeld Bridal, Pnina Tornai, and Estee Couture. Each gown was extraordinary in its own right — and the transformation across the day gave the film a visual arc and variety that made the edit genuinely compelling from beginning to end.
The floral installations by Larry Walshe were spectacular — arrangements of a scale and artistry that matched the grandeur of the palace itself, transforming the already extraordinary interior into something that felt genuinely otherworldly. The overall event design and planning by Bespoke Events London brought every element of the day together with complete visual consistency and refinement. Makeup by Glam by Tam was flawless throughout.
“Blenheim Palace gives you everything as a filming team — extraordinary architecture, extraordinary light, extraordinary scale. But what makes a wedding film genuinely powerful is never the venue. It is the people. And Victoria and Thomas brought a warmth and genuine joy to every moment of their day that made this one of our most treasured films.”

The Evening — Long Library Reception
The reception took place in Blenheim Palace’s Long Library — at 187 metres, one of the most magnificent interior spaces in England. The combination of the baroque architecture, the candlelight, the floral installations, and the energy of Victoria and Thomas’s guests created an atmosphere that was genuinely extraordinary to film. The Long Library transformed from an architectural wonder into a dance floor of real joy and energy — and the footage from the evening is some of the most dynamic and emotionally rich we have made at any UK venue.
The musical programme across the day was exceptional — live performances by Sarah Munro, Toscana Strings, Sound of Swing, and Entertainment Nation. The wedding cake by By Yevnig was a work of genuine artistry.
Filming at Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace presents a particular set of creative opportunities for a filming team. The interior light — extraordinary in quality but requiring experience and technical preparation to work with effectively — demands careful planning. The variety of spaces across the palace and its grounds means the full day must be mapped in advance. We work in close collaboration with the Blenheim Palace events team and with the couple’s wedding planner to ensure we are in the right position at every moment of the day — and that nothing significant is missed.
