As Provence wedding videographers, we have filmed at Château de Tourreau many times — but Ellie and Alex’s celebration last summer reminded us once again why this estate is so extraordinary to work in. From the most beautiful vows to a candlelit dinner under the stars, and a dance floor that did not empty until the early hours — it was the kind of day that stays with you long after the weekend is over. This is our first-hand account of everything that made it so special.

Château de Tourreau — The Setting
Château de Tourreau sits just outside Sarrians in the Vaucluse — an 18th-century estate with nearly 20 acres of manicured gardens, a private fountain courtyard, a Romanesque chapel, a swimming pool, and the distinctive teal-shuttered façade that makes it one of the most recognisable luxury wedding estates in the South of France. As an exclusive-use venue, the entire property was Ellie and Alex’s for the duration of their celebration.

Candlelit dinner setup in the formal gardens of Château de Tourreau — Ellie & Alex’s wedding reception
We know this estate intimately — the quality of light at every hour of the day, the best drone paths over the vineyard and pool, and the natural rhythm of how a wedding day unfolds here. That knowledge is entirely invisible in the final film, but it is responsible for every well-composed frame and every moment captured at exactly the right time.
The Ceremony — Vows at the Fountain
Ellie and Alex exchanged their vows beside the château’s 18th-century fountain — one of the most naturally beautiful and emotionally powerful ceremony spaces we film in anywhere in Provence. The pale stone façade of the château rose behind them, the formal gardens stretched on either side, and the warmth of the South of France sun fell across the whole scene with the particular golden quality that defines late afternoon at this estate.
The ceremony was intimate, deeply sincere, and completely moving. We positioned cameras at multiple heights to capture both the closeness of the moment between Ellie and Alex and the scale of the extraordinary setting around them. A discreet lapel microphone on the officiant ensured every word of the vows was captured clearly and warmly — exactly as it should be.

The Details — Gown, Florals & Styling
Ellie wore a gown from Eisen Stein Bridal, sourced through White Lace and Butterflies — elegant, beautifully crafted, and perfectly suited to the grandeur of Château de Tourreau. The silhouette was timeless and the fabric caught the Provence light in a way that made every portrait sequence genuinely breathtaking.
The overall styling by Cora Mour Designer ran through every element of the day with complete visual consistency — soft, romantic, and entirely in keeping with the South of France aesthetic. The florals by Elle’s Floral Designer were lush and romantic — arrangements that felt as though they had grown directly from the château gardens surrounding them, enriching every table and every frame without ever overwhelming the natural beauty of the setting.
Hair by Amandine B Makeup and makeup by Rachel Bainbridge Makeup were flawless and entirely natural — luminous and camera-ready in the particular way that the South of France light demands. Stationery by Crème de Papier completed the visual world of the day with the same considered elegance.
The entire celebration was planned and designed with exceptional precision by Wanderlust Wedding — a planning team whose attention to detail and genuine understanding of what makes a luxury destination wedding work meant our filming team could focus entirely on capturing the emotion rather than navigating logistics.
The Evening — Candlelit Dinner, Live Band & Dancing Under the Stars
As the sun set over the Provençal hills, the formal gardens of Château de Tourreau were transformed for dinner. Long tables under candlelight, the château rising behind them in the evening glow, and food by L’Éveil des Papilles that reflected the best of the South of France — local produce, exceptional wine, and a generosity of spirit that made every guest feel completely at home in this extraordinary place.
Drinks were served by DNA Bartending and Options Aix-en-Provence — a level of service entirely in keeping with the refinement of everything else across the day. Production by South Prod, Aucop Event and Joli Bazaar ensured the lighting and sound were perfectly calibrated for both atmosphere and film.
The live band — Distractions Band — brought an energy to the evening that transformed the dinner into a genuine celebration. The dance floor opened and did not close until the early hours. By that point in the evening, Ellie and Alex’s guests were completely relaxed, completely themselves, and completely happy — and the footage from those hours is consistently the most joyful and authentic of the entire day.

Why We Loved Filming This Wedding
Château de Tourreau is a venue we return to again and again — and each time it gives us something new. With Ellie and Alex, it was the combination of impeccable planning by Wanderlust Wedding, a couple who were completely present and genuinely joyful throughout the entire day, and the particular quality of light on that specific afternoon in the South of France.
The vows beside the fountain. The candlelit dinner in the formal gardens. The dance floor that never emptied. These are the sequences that define this film — and that we are genuinely proud to have captured. A dream wedding day in the South of France, exactly as it should be.
“The videos of our wedding weekend captured by Justina & Greg are beyond anything we could have imagined or hoped for. From the music, the emotions & all the little details — everything they captured was perfect, and watching it felt like we were right back in the moment. The way you filmed & edited our wedding weekend is like something out of a movie. We cannot recommend HD Moments enough!”
