As specialist Provence wedding videographers, we have filmed at some of the most beautiful estates in the South of France. But Melina and Marc’s three-day celebration at Le Mas de Poiriers in September 2021 was something we will carry with us for a long time. An 18th-century farmhouse with views towards Châteauneuf-du-Pape, golden Provençal light, personal vows spoken from the heart, and a couple who were completely, joyfully present throughout every moment of their wedding weekend.

If you are planning a wedding at Le Mas de Poiriers or anywhere in Provence, this page is our first-hand account of what made this three-day celebration so extraordinary — and what makes this venue so special to film at.

Le Mas de Poiriers — The Venue

Le Mas de Poiriers is an 18th-century Provençal farmhouse set in the countryside near Châteauneuf-du-Pape — one of the most celebrated wine appellations in the South of France. The estate combines rustic Provençal charm with genuine elegance: exposed stone walls, ancient olive trees, a beautiful swimming pool, and sweeping views across the golden countryside that stretch to the horizon.

From a filming perspective, what makes Le Mas de Poiriers so special is its human scale. Unlike the grand châteaux estates of Provence, this venue creates an immediate sense of warmth and intimacy — guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive, and that ease translates directly into the footage. By the ceremony, everyone is fully present. By the evening, the dancing and laughter are completely unguarded. And by day three, the footage we capture has a depth and authenticity that only comes from people who have truly shared something together.

Day One — Rehearsal Dinner at Carrières des Lumières

The festivities opened not at the farmhouse but at the extraordinary Carrières des Lumières — the immersive art installation venue carved into the limestone cliffs of Les Baux-de-Provence, approximately 20 minutes from Le Mas de Poiriers.

Guests explored the light shows projected across the ancient stone walls before settling in for an evening of connection and anticipation. As a setting for a rehearsal dinner, it was extraordinary — completely unlike anything a traditional restaurant or terrace can offer. The images and footage from that evening have a quality and atmosphere that set the tone perfectly for everything that followed.

Every detail across all three days was curated by Matthew Robbins Design — a luxury wedding designer whose experience and aesthetic precision elevated every visual element of the weekend.

Day Two — The Wedding Day at Le Mas de Poiriers

The wedding day itself unfolded at Le Mas de Poiriers with the natural, unhurried rhythm that only a Provence estate can provide. Morning preparations in the farmhouse, the golden September light building through the day, guests gathering in the gardens — and then the ceremony, under towering trees with vibrant florals and the rustic Provençal countryside stretching beyond.

September is our favourite month for filming in Provence. The light is warm and perfectly angled for late afternoon portraits, the heat has softened from the peak of summer, and the landscape has a golden, settled quality that photographs and films more beautifully than any other time of year. Melina and Marc’s wedding day captured everything Provence does best.

The Bride — Zuhair Murad Gown

Melina wore a breathtaking gown by Zuhair Murad — soft pastel tones, intricate embroidery, and delicate ruffles that were genuinely extraordinary in the Provence light. The silhouette was romantic and feminine without being overstated, and the craftsmanship of the embroidery gave us beautiful texture to work with in every close-up sequence.

Her sleek bun added a modern, graceful counterpoint to the romantic quality of the gown. And Marc’s expression as she walked down the aisle said everything words couldn’t — a moment of pure, completely unguarded emotion that needed nothing from us except to be captured.

The Ceremony — Personal Vows & Heartfelt Speeches

The ceremony took place under towering trees with the rustic Provençal farmhouse and distant countryside as the backdrop — every sunlit frame naturally composed and deeply beautiful. But what made this ceremony genuinely extraordinary was the vows.

Melina and Marc’s personal vows were among the most moving we have witnessed in years of filming weddings. Spoken from the heart, with total honesty and love, they filled the ceremony space with an emotion that was felt by every guest. The footage from those minutes — the couple, the tears, the reactions of the people who love them most — is the footage they will return to most in the years ahead.

The speeches that followed added warmth and laughter in equal measure, turning each one into a genuine moment of connection between the couple and the people who matter most to them.

Day Three — Brunch, Food Stalls & Poolside Party

The third day was everything a Provence farewell should be. A stylish brunch, food stalls in the farmhouse gardens, a live band keeping the energy going, and guests swimming and laughing in the afternoon sun beside the pool.

This is the footage that surprises couples most when they watch their film back — the unguarded joy of the final day, when the formality is completely gone and what remains is pure connection. The laughter is real. The dancing is uninhibited. And the light on a September afternoon in Provence, across the old stone walls and the olive trees, is simply extraordinary.

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of this weekend — and to have worked alongside photographer Bruno Rezza and a team of genuinely exceptional creatives who brought every element of Melina and Marc’s vision to life.

“Three days of genuine joy, extraordinary light, and a couple who were completely present for every moment of it. This is exactly the kind of wedding that reminds us why we do what we do.”

Why We Loved Filming This Wedding

Le Mas de Poiriers taught us something we already knew but this weekend made vivid again — that the most moving wedding films come not from the grandest venues, but from the most human ones. The farmhouse, the olive trees, the stone walls, the pool — everything about Le Mas de Poiriers encourages people to be themselves. And when people are themselves, what we capture is genuinely timeless.

Melina and Marc brought everything else. The warmth between them. The depth of the vows. The joy on day three when the last traces of formality had dissolved into something much more real and much more lasting. The footage we made across these three days is some of the work we are most proud of.
