Pre-Wedding Video: Your Love Story, Filmed in London
Before the seating plan, before the suit fittings, before anyone asks whether Uncle Dave can do “just a short speech”, there was the two of you. A pre-wedding video is the film of that part. The café where you had your first date. The bridge you always walk across. The bench where one of you nearly proposed, then lost their nerve.
We’re Justina & Greg, a husband-and-wife team filming weddings across London and further afield. Our pre-wedding films are made the same way as our wedding films: romantic, honest and never too serious.
What is a pre-wedding video?
A pre-wedding video is a short film made in the weeks or months before your wedding, about you as a couple rather than about the day itself. You may also hear it called a love story film, a pre-wedding film or, when it carries your date at the end, a save the date video.
It isn’t quite an engagement shoot. An engagement shoot is usually photographs, and its job is a good picture. A pre-wedding film has a story: where you met, what your Sundays look like, the things only the two of you find funny. It moves, it has sound, and it’s often the first time you hear your own story told back to you.
Why couples film one
- A save the date that people actually watch. Send it to guests along with the date. It beats a fridge magnet.
- A moment at the reception. Played before dinner or before the speeches, it introduces you to the half of the room that only knows one of you.
- For the family who can’t travel. Grandparents abroad get to know you both before the wedding.
- A keepsake for later. Your wedding film shows the day. This one shows who you were just before it, which is the bit that tends to blur first.
- Practice in front of the camera. A relaxed shoot with us means that on the wedding day we’re old friends, not strangers with a gimbal.
Where to film in London
The best location is rarely the most famous one. It’s the one that means something to you: the flat where you first lived together, your local, the street where you met. Those always make the best scenes, and London’s river, parks and old streets are never far away. We’ll plan the locations with you.
How a shoot works
- Planning call. We get to know you: how you met, what you love doing, any songs that matter. This is where the story comes from.
- Locations and outfits. We choose a few places that work together and agree what you’ll wear.
- Filming. It’s relaxed and unscripted, with lots of walking and a few gentle prompts. Props and pieces of your real life are welcome: the dog, the bikes, the ridiculous mug.
- The edit. We cut the film to music, with your voices where they help the story, and add a save-the-date card at the end if you want one.

- What should we wear?
- Wear what you’d wear on a good day together, then go one notch smarter. Solid colours and soft textures film better than busy prints or logos.
- Can we film abroad or at our destination?
- Yes, as part of your destination wedding film with us. Filming somewhere that matters to you abroad makes a beautiful prelude to the day. Destination weddings start from £5,500, travel included in the quote.
- When should we film it before the wedding?
- If you want it as a save the date, film well ahead so there’s time to edit and send it. If it’s for the reception, a month or two before is fine.
- Can we use it as a save the date?
- Yes. Many couples do. We can add your date and names at the end so it’s easy to share.
- Can we book a pre-wedding film on its own?
- No. A pre-wedding film is an add-on to your wedding film with us. Tell us when you enquire and we’ll include it in your quote.
