A Paris love story — intimate, elegant, and completely beautiful. Carolyn and Cedric’s wedding at Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry is one of the most quietly moving celebrations we have ever filmed. As France wedding videographers, Paris asks something specific of a filming team — the city sets a tone of romance and sophistication that the film has to match. With Carolyn and Cedric, it came naturally from the very first moment we met them.
Their bond — built on years of genuine friendship before it became something more — shaped the entire feeling of the day. Warm, unhurried, deeply human. This is our account of how it unfolded and why it is a film we return to with great affection.

Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry — The Venue
Nestled on the outskirts of Paris, Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry is one of the most refined and historically significant private venues available for weddings in the Paris region. Bathed in natural light, surrounded by formal gardens, and steeped in 18th-century French elegance, it offered everything we could hope for as a filming team — variety, beauty, and an atmosphere that required nothing artificial to feel extraordinary.

We arrived days before the wedding to study the location and the quality of light at each hour — the way it falls through the tall windows in the morning, how the gardens look in late afternoon, where the most beautiful portrait positions are across the grounds. That preparation is invisible in the final film but entirely responsible for its consistency and warmth.
The Style — Oscar de la Renta, Manolo Blahnik & Esther LaMarche
Carolyn looked stunning in a gown by Oscar de la Renta — one of the world’s most celebrated bridal designers, known for a romanticism and refinement that is perfectly matched to a Parisian wedding. The gown’s silhouette was elegant and entirely in keeping with the historic grandeur of the venue without ever competing with it.

Her iconic Manolo Blahnik heels completed the look — a detail that speaks to the considered elegance that ran through every element of the day. The floral arrangements by Esther LaMarche added a delicate, ethereal softness — soft blues, blush pinks, and lush peonies that felt as though they had grown directly from the garden surrounding the pavilion.
Our Approach — Planning the Film Together
Their wedding planner Vanessa reached out to us well in advance — something we always appreciate, because it allows us to think carefully about the visual direction of the film before the day itself arrives. We met Carolyn and Cedric ahead of the wedding and spent time hearing their story — how their friendship had become something deeper, what mattered most to them about the day, and how they wanted the film to feel.
The answer was clear: intimate, soft, and romantic. Much like Paris itself. We tailored everything around that — the pace of the edit, the music choices, the balance between wide establishing shots and the close details that make a wedding uniquely and irreplaceably personal.
The Wedding Day — Calm, Joy & Every Emotion
On the wedding day, everything flowed with the natural grace that comes from careful preparation and a couple who are completely at ease with each other. There was a calm joy in the air from the very first moment — a quality that is impossible to manufacture and instantly visible on film.

From the laughter during preparations to the quiet emotion of the vows, the joyous toasts and the dancing that followed — every moment carried the warmth and authenticity of two people who were genuinely present for every second of their own wedding day. Our goal was to capture every nuance of it — the fleeting glances, the tears, the small details that guests may never consciously notice but which make the film feel complete.

Why We Loved Filming This Wedding
Paris is a city that asks a filming team to slow down, to be still, and to let the atmosphere do the work. Carolyn and Cedric’s wedding gave us exactly that permission. The venue, the light, the florals, the styling — everything was beautifully considered. But it was the couple themselves who made it extraordinary.
Their ease with each other, their warmth towards every guest, and the depth of feeling in their vows produced footage that is genuinely moving to watch back. It is the kind of film that reminds us of what we are here to do — to preserve something real, something human, and something that will matter for the rest of two people’s lives.
“We are constantly in awe of what a great job you guys have done. We loved the song choices, the timing of the shots — it truly looked like a beautiful movie. We’ve already watched it countless times and shared it with close friends who were also incredibly touched.”
