In the heart of the Côte du Rhône vineyards sits the spectacular Château de Tourreau — with its manicured lawns, 18th-century charm, and nearly 20 acres of lush gardens, one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Provence. As Provence wedding videographers, we were honoured to spend three days with Franziska and Alexander — documenting every heartfelt moment across their full wedding weekend. This is our first-hand account of three extraordinary days at one of our most beloved venues in France.

We have filmed multiple weddings at Château de Tourreau and know this estate intimately — the quality of light at every hour, the best drone paths over the vineyard and pool, and the natural rhythm of how a full wedding weekend unfolds here. That knowledge translates directly into the footage. Every sequence feels considered because the preparation behind it was.
Three Days of Love and Celebration in Provence
We spent three incredible days with Franziska and Alexander and their loved ones — documenting every heartfelt moment from the elegant rehearsal dinner to the wedding day itself and the lively pool party finale on day three.
This is what makes three-day destination weddings at Château de Tourreau so extraordinary to film. By the time the ceremony begins on day two, we have already been on-site for 24 hours. We know the light, we know the spaces, and we have already built a relationship with the couple and their guests that means everyone is completely at ease with us. The footage that results is genuinely different — more natural, more emotionally unguarded, and more complete as a story.
We had the pleasure of working alongside renowned photographer Adam Alex throughout the weekend — capturing timeless images against the stunning Provençal backdrop.
The Wedding Day — A Warm July Afternoon in Provence
On a warm July afternoon, Franziska and Alexander exchanged vows under the Provençal sun — the ceremony planned with exceptional care and precision by luxury wedding planner Matthew Oliver Weddings. The combination of Matthew’s logistics and our filming team’s knowledge of the estate meant the day unfolded with a natural grace that felt entirely effortless.
Franziska looked radiant in her Mira Zwillinger gown — a masterpiece of floral embroidery and delicate lace detail that was genuinely breathtaking in the Provence light. The silhouette was romantic and precise, and the craftsmanship of the embroidery gave us beautiful texture to work with in every close-up sequence throughout the day.
The Ceremony — A Cinematic Arrival & Vows Under the Plane Trees
Guests arrived to the sound of violins as sunlight streamed through the towering trees that line the château’s formal gardens. The aisle, flanked by tall plane trees, formed a natural canopy above the guests — creating a frame that needed nothing added to it and everything preserved.

Franziska made her grand entrance in a vintage convertible, driven by her father — a moment that felt straight out of a French love story and produced some of the most joyful footage of the entire weekend. The look on Alexander’s face as she arrived is one we will not forget.

The vows were spoken with total sincerity and deep emotion — the beauty of the château surrounding them, the warmth of the Provence sun above, and the people they love most gathered close. Every word landed with full weight and produced footage that is consistently what couples return to most in the years after their wedding.
The Evening — Dinner, Speeches & Dancing Under the Stars
Dinner was held in front of the château — long banquet tables adorned with white roses and lush greenery by Fleurs de Fée, candlelight, and the château’s façade glowing behind them in the evening light. The speeches were heartfelt and emotional — particularly from the father of the bride, who shared wisdom and laughter with everyone gathered.
As night fell, the atmosphere transformed completely. Guests danced beneath twinkling lights beside a charming vintage carousel that added a magical, fairytale quality to the evening footage. And then — in one of the most joyful moments we have filmed at this venue — Franziska and Alexander were lifted onto their friends’ shoulders, dancing high above the crowd with absolute abandon.
It was the perfect reflection of who they are — joyful, free, and completely in love.

Why We Loved Filming This Wedding
Château de Tourreau is a venue we return to again and again — and every time, it gives us something new. With Franziska and Alexander, it was the combination of the venue’s extraordinary visual variety, Matthew Oliver’s flawless logistical coordination, and a couple who were completely present and joyful throughout all three days.
The vintage car arrival. The vows under the plane trees. Franziska lifted above the dancing crowd. The drone over the pool on day three. These are the sequences that define this wedding film — and that we are genuinely proud to have captured. It is a film that will be just as moving in twenty years as it is today.
“Three days of joy, elegance, and the kind of Provençal beauty that stays with you long after the weekend is over. A privilege from start to finish.”
